About the role

About TrueFoundry

Every production AI system, whether it's powering customer support, writing code, analyzing financial data, or diagnosing medical conditions needs the same foundational infrastructure. A way to route between models. A way to manage tools and integrate them securely. A way to orchestrate agents and enforce governance. A unified compute layer to run it all.

That infrastructure layer is being built right now.

We are looking for a Founder’s Office, to join our FDE team.

We're TrueFoundry, and we're building it.

The Problem We're Solving

Companies are moving beyond simple chatbots to production agentic systems. These systems route between OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and self-hosted models. They integrate dozens of tools via protocols like MCP. They orchestrate multi-agent workflows where agents coordinate with other agents.

The infrastructure to support this doesn't exist yet. You can't just duct-tape together a few API calls and call it production-ready.

You need a control plane that handles:

Intelligent routing with observability, cost policies, and fallback logic

Centralized tool and MCP server management with security and lifecycle controls

Agent orchestration with governance and guardrails

A unified compute layer to run self-hosted models, custom tools, and agents

AI Gateway is the control plane — five composable components (Prompts, LLM Gateway, MCP Gateway, Guardrails, Agent Gateway) that handle routing, orchestration, and governance.

We're Series A, backed by Intel Capital and Sequoia. Companies like CVS, Mastercard, Siemens, Paytm, Synopsys, and Zscaler run production AI workloads on our platform.

About the Role

We are looking for a Founder’s Office who will work closely with the founders and FDE leadership to drive strategic initiatives, customer engagements, and execution across the organization.

This is a highly cross-functional role spanning customers, engineering, product, and business strategy. You will work on some of TrueFoundry's most important and ambiguous problems and help turn strategic priorities into execution.

What You'll Do

Work directly with the founders and FDE leadership on high-priority strategic initiatives.

Partner closely with FDE engineers on enterprise customer engagements, technical challenges, and deployments.

Understand customer problems and translate them into actionable requirements for Product and Engineering.

Identify recurring customer challenges and opportunities to improve TrueFoundry's product and platform.

Drive cross-functional initiatives from problem definition to execution and measurable outcomes.

Work closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success teams to ensure customer priorities are addressed effectively.

Build processes and operating mechanisms that help the FDE organization scale efficiently.

Track critical initiatives, identify bottlenecks, and drive teams toward resolution.

Prepare business reviews, analysis, and decision-making material for founders and leadership.

Support strategic customer conversations and help drive key enterprise initiatives.

Take ownership of special projects that require speed, judgment, and cross-functional execution.

Act as a key bridge between the Founder’s Office, FDE, Product, Engineering, and GTM teams.

What We're Looking For

3+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, product, solutions engineering, business operations, engineering, or a similar high-ownership role.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work comfortably with technical teams, enterprise customers, and senior leadership.

Strong execution mindset with the ability to take ambiguous problems and drive them to completion.

Ability to quickly understand technical products, customer requirements, and business context.

High ownership, strong judgment, and attention to detail.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities can change quickly.

Willingness to roll up your sleeves and work across functions rather than operate within a narrow job scope.

Good to Have

Experience working with AI/ML, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, developer platforms, or enterprise SaaS.

Experience in a Founder’s Office, Chief of Staff, Consulting, Product, Solutions Engineering, or FDE environment.

Experience working directly with enterprise customers.

Technical background or strong technical aptitude.

Experience in a high-growth startup.

Perks of Working at TrueFoundry

Join a fast-growing Series A, Bay Area-based startup building cutting-edge AI infrastructure.

Comprehensive health insurance for you and your family.

Flexible hybrid work, 3 days a week in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday), with flexibility around the schedule.

Lunch and snacks are on us whenever you come into the office.

Work from another TrueFoundry office for up to 3 months each year, whether that's our London or Bay Area office, if you'd like a change of scenery.
