<p><strong>What you’ll do</strong></p>
<p>The Field Engineer is a hands-on role responsible for installing, calibrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Pronto’s autonomous technology on heavy equipment at a mining site in Saudi Arabia. This role will support the on-site deployment of Pronto’s autonomous systems. The position requires strong electrical and mechanical skills and comfort working in outdoor industrial environments.</p>
<p><strong>Installation & Deployment</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Perform on-site installation of Pronto hardware and software solutions, including sensor systems, DBW kits, power integration, and vehicle interfaces.</li>
<li>On-site installation of peripheral hardware such as network stations, gate systems, and office infrastructure.</li>
<li>Conduct system calibrations and validation tests to ensure installations meet operational standards.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Engineering and Customer teams to ensure field deployments align with specifications and best practices, as well as collaborating on R&D projects.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Maintenance & Troubleshooting</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure system health, reliability, and long-term performance.</li>
<li>Monitor and log equipment conditions, identifying signs of wear, degradation, or environmental impacts</li>
<li>Diagnose and repair hardware, software, and connectivity issues in the field.</li>
<li>Utilize diagnostic tools and logs to identify root causes and implement fixes with minimal downtime.</li>
<li>Communicate findings clearly to engineering teams for deeper analysis and continuous improvement.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Customer Site Support</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Serve as the face of Pronto during on-site visits, maintaining professional and responsive communication with customer personnel.</li>
<li>Provide basic training to customer staff when required.</li>
<li>Document all service activities, updates, and issues using internal ticketing and CRM tools.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>What we’re looking for</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>4+ years of experience in field service, automotive electronics, mechatronics, or a similar technical support role.</li>
<li>Proficiency with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and electrical testing tools.</li>
<li>Solid understanding of vehicle systems (power, CAN bus, sensors, ECUs).</li>
<li>Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and follow technical documentation.</li>
<li>Comfortable working independently in field environments with minimal supervision.</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.</li>
</ul>
<p><br><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience with autonomous vehicle systems, machine control, robotics, or complex sensor integrations.</li>
<li>Familiarity with Linux-based systems and remote diagnostics.</li>
<li>OSHA 10, MSHA Part 48 or equivalent safety certification.</li>
