About the role
Founding Marketing Lead
Village | Full-Time
WHY WE'RE BUILDING VILLAGE
Village Co-founder and CEO Brandon Terry's daughter Payton was born with a rare genetic condition — partially missing a chromosome critical for building essential organs. Diagnosed at 2 months old, she had 5 surgeries in her first 2 years. Brandon and his wife were told she might never walk or talk.
Payton is doing wonderfully today. But what Brandon and his family remember most isn't just the medical complexity — it's the feeling of being on their own. Great doctors, but no one helping them navigate each step of the journey. No one connecting the dots.
Tens of millions of families are living that same experience right now — navigating developmental delays, rare conditions, chronic illness, and special needs without a real partner in their corner. The more families Village meets, the more they realize this experience is not unique, but shared. There has to be a better way. This is why we're building it.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Village is an AI-powered care orchestration platform for children with differences — a modern care coordination partner that helps families navigate complexity with confidence, and the practice infrastructure that lets providers focus on what they do best. We're building a product with real network effects and a scalable go-to-market, starting in LA and expanding nationally.
We just closed our second round of funding, backed by Upfront Ventures, Bling Capital, and GTMFund. The next phase is about scaling LA, proving repeatability in new markets, and building toward Series A. The expansion vectors from here are real and within reach — and this is that rare moment where the hard early work is done, the proof points are in hand, and the path to scale is wide open.
For the right person, this is a career-defining opportunity — the chance to be the first marketer at a company that's already working, with the trust and ownership to help take it to the next level, and to shape how an entire category of care gets delivered to kids and families across the country.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Village is looking for a Founding Marketing Lead to own and drive our go-to-market across B2B, B2B2C, and B2C. You'll have real ownership, close proximity to leadership, and the ability to shape how Village shows up in the market.
This role is 80% execution. We have a foundational B2C strategy in place and leaders who can help shape B2B and B2B2C strategy — what we need is someone who can move fast, flex with the needs of the business, and drive outcomes without a lot of hand-holding or additional resources.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
You'll be responsible for marketing-sourced patient and provider acquisition targets, and will co-own broader customer targets across channels alongside our growth and operations teams. In practice, that means:
- Driving patient and provider acquisition through owned, earned, and paid channels.
- Building and maintaining positioning and messaging across our diverse stakeholder mix — patients, providers, referral partners, payers, and enterprise partners.
- Running lifecycle marketing programs to improve conversion and retention across both funnels.
- Enabling the broader team with the assets, content, and tooling they need to sell and onboard effectively.
- Supporting contractor relationships and, over time, helping hire and manage additional marketing resources as the team grows.
WHO YOU ARE
- Healthcare marketer at heart. You've done this before in healthcare and know the landscape well — how different provider specialties think, how to talk to payer audiences, and how to translate complex product capabilities into messaging that resonates with very different types of buyers and users.
- Relentlessly resourceful. You lean heavily on AI across your workflows — content, SEO/GEO, creative, research — well beyond basic use. You can self-serve on website updates, work comfortably in analytics tools like Mixpanel, and take a design template and turn it into something polished without needing a designer in the loop.
- A doer first. You're senior enough to have strong judgment and work independently, but you're not looking for a large team to manage — you want to build and do the work yourself.
- Wired for ambiguity. You thrive in early-stage environments where the roadmap isn't always clear and the highest-leverage thing to work on changes week to week. You don't wait for perfect conditions — you create momentum.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Healthcare marketing experience is required — ideally across both provider-facing and patient-facing contexts.
- You've built or significantly contributed to go-to-market motions in a startup or high-growth environment.
- You have a track record of driving measurable acquisition and engagement outcomes, not just producing content.
- You're comfortable owning strategy when needed but default to execution.
