<h3><strong>Position Overview</strong></h3>
<p>Understood Care is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized <strong>Contracting, Credentialing & Billing Specialist</strong> to support our provider operations. This role is critical in ensuring providers are properly contracted, credentialed, and reimbursed in a timely and accurate manner. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable managing multiple workflows simultaneously.</p>
<h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Contracting & Credentialing</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Manage end-to-end provider contracting and credentialing processes</li>
<li>Prepare, submit, and track credentialing applications with payers</li>
<li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date provider records and documentation</li>
<li>Monitor credentialing timelines and proactively follow up with payers</li>
<li>Support re-credentialing and ongoing compliance requirements</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Billing Support</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Assist with billing setup for newly credentialed providers</li>
<li>Support claim submission, tracking, and follow-up as needed</li>
<li>Identify and help resolve basic billing issues or discrepancies</li>
<li>Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate provider data</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Administrative & Compliance Support</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Maintain organized documentation in internal systems</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with payer, state, and organizational requirements</li>
<li>Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>2–5 years of experience in healthcare contracting, credentialing, licensing and billing</li>
<li>Familiarity with payer portals and credentialing processes</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li>
<li>Experience with healthcare administration systems is a plus</li>
</ul>
