Join us.</strong></p></div><h3><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>The Role</strong></span></h3> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Moment Energy is seeking a </span><strong>Director of Engineering</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> to lead and scale our multidisciplinary engineering organization as we expand production of our battery energy storage systems. This role will oversee a growing team of engineers across multiple disciplines.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">As a key member of the engineering leadership team, the Director of Engineering will drive technical strategy, engineering execution, and team development while ensuring that our products move efficiently from design through certification and into scalable manufacturing. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">The ideal candidate combines strong technical leadership with operational execution, bringing experience scaling engineering teams, delivering complex hardware products, and collaborating cross-functionally with manufacturing, supply chain, product, and commercial teams.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Responsibilities and Duties</strong></span></p> <h3><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Engineering Leadership &amp; Strategy</strong></span></h3> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team across mechanical, electrical, firmware, software, battery systems, and test engineering.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">Establish clear technical vision, engineering strategy, and development roadmaps aligned with company growth and product strategy.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">Build scalable engineering processes, structures, and performance standards to support rapid company growth.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">Foster a high-performance engineering culture focused on collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. </span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">Plan, build, and hire new teams to take on new initiatives and scale the company. </span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">Lead motivated teams and individuals by demonstrating strong hands-on skills and the ability to break down full business objectives into strategies for teams.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">Partner closely with executive leadership to align engineering priorities with business objectives.</span></li> </ul> <h3><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Product Development &amp; Technical Execution</strong></span></h3> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">Oversee the design and development of battery energy storage system (BESS) components and integrated systems, including battery enclosures, power electronics integration, thermal management systems, and structural components.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">Guide system architecture decisions to ensure performance, reliability, manufacturability, and scalability.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">Lead cross-functional collaboration between hardware, firmware, and software teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">Ensure engineering programs progress effectively from concept through prototyping, validation, certification, and production launch.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">Support engineering efforts required for product safety and certification, including standards such as UL and other regulatory requirements.</span></li> </ul> <h3><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Engineering Operations</strong></span></h3> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">Establish engineering development processes including design reviews, FMEA, documentation standards, and product lifecycle management.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">Oversee creation and maintenance of key engineering documentation such as BOMs, manufacturing drawings, SOPs, design review materials, and technical specifications.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">Implement metrics and reporting frameworks to track engineering progress, product quality, and team performance.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">Work with program managers to set and achieve ambitious goals, track progress against timelines, make educated decisions with missing data, trade-off risks and compromises to meet deadlines. </span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">Collaborate with quality and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with industry and safety standards.</span></li> </ul> <h3><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Supplier &amp; External Collaboration</strong></span></h3> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">Partner with supply chain teams to evaluate and onboard new suppliers and engineering partners.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">Support supplier technical evaluation and design collaboration to optimize cost, performance, and lead times.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">Interface with customers and external stakeholders on technical requirements when needed.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong> </strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>The Candidate</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>We’re looking for individuals with the following traits, skills, and experiences:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">Must have a background in industries such as energy storage, power electronics, EV, robotics, or industrial systems.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">12+ years of experience in the design, development and launch of complex electro-mechanical or other relatable applications.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">Proven experience launching new industrial products and scaling a concept through the prototyping, product development cycle, through to repeatable manufacturing.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">Proven experience scaling engineering teams and processes in high-growth or startup environments.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">Proven experience as a strong people leader, who loves working with teams, mentoring engineers, growing individuals and managers. </span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">Strong public speaking and presentation skills.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;">Strong understanding of systems engineering, product lifecycle development, and certification processes.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400;
